I am an Official Fan of Fantasy Football, but shhh DON"T tell my husband!

My husband and his obsession with fantasy football goes way back. But I drew the line the year I was 8.5 months pregnant living in Texas with the temperature at 98 degrees and 100% humidity. It was HOT!!! It only became hotter when our air conditioner went out on draft day! After not being able to get the air to turn on, I paniced. Not wanting to disturb my husband at his biggest event of the year (in his mind anyway!) I called my Dad, my uncle, my father in law, my friend's husbands business. I tried everything not to interrupt my husband (I was being way too nice!) After about 3 hours of doing what I was advised to over the phone and none of it working. I was beginning to think I was going to die. I kept making quick trips to my car just to get some a/c. I made THE phone call. When you do call your significant other at one of these events you know that your husband will be clowned by the other guys (see my husband prepared me all year with "the rules" for one of these events). I tell you this so you will understand how important this is to him! Well I had to venture into forbidden territory, I MADE THE CALL. Looking to hear some compassion and "Honey I will be right there to check it out, I know you are hot and carrying an extra person in this heat must be out right miserable." I DID NOT hear it! He told me to call my dad, he could help me(my dad lives in another town and hours away). I told him I already did...this goes on and on......Never the less my husband (which before this day I though was a gift from God) did not come home until after the draft was over. At that point I have been in the heat for 7 hours. You might be thinking you crazy girl, leave the house, well I am on bed rest. I did not feel like traveling anywhere. So when he gets home I am out of control! You can only imagine what all he heard from me and my big mouth!!! Did I forget to mention that I told him he will have to prove to me that me and this baby that we mean more to him that Fantasy Football. Show us and not play next year! So this gets me to the here and now.....the draft is tomorrow and yes, I have "let" him play. But, let me tell you what he has done this weekend to "prepare" for his BIG day. Filled my car up with gas, grocery shopped, cleaned the house all day today, washed my car, delivered to me breakfast in bed, told me he will take our son somewhere early in the morning so I could sleep late, cooked dinner last night, lunch today and dinner tonight as well. I won't tell him this ,but I think I am beginning to LOVE fantasy football too!
